the month of christmas ❄️

12월. december is always the month i feel the most emotional - it's the last month of the year - yet it signifies that new beginnings are coming our way. how cryptic is that?

 

and we all know what december means - voting season

 

every year we rejoice yet sigh because of this very reason.

a moment of pride for all the awards and categories that red velvet is nominated for, 

and it comes along with a moment of disappointment because we know this fandom can't vote (lol)

 

sure, we have improved through the years and I've personally witnessed that.

but for some reason our growth is so stagnant - to the point where we're moving at the same pace as the rookie groups / 4th gen groups. 

 

it's been a huge problem and inconvenience to support fanbases and luvies who actually vote, despite how much our fandom has grown over the years, we are unable to overcome this challenge of voting - it's no wonder why we've never won a popularity award for the girls - despite us being a fandom of a big3 girl group.

 

there's MMA, MAMA, GDA, SMA and many more awards coming up and I'm excited to see them win an award - but I know that's real hard to achieve and super unpredictable since our voting numbers aren't exactly the strongest...

 

but negative thoughts aside! I'm sure the girls will be happy to receive an award, but more than awards, I think what makes them happier is meeting and performing in front of their fans, and more importantly, spending time together as a group.

 

the members have often mentioned that during the covid period, they haven't been meeting each other as often, until queendom promotions arrive - it was their first time together in a long while and their first time on stage as a group in 2 years.

 

and speaking of this tiny happiness - they will be appearing even more often in december!

wendy has revealed that red velvet will be attending the 3 gayos - SBS gayo daejun (I'm seething with rage as i type this), KBS gayo daechukje and MBC gayo daejejeon. i can't wait for what they have in store for us - and the 2022 smtown concert too! plus very soon - their Japanese comeback and red velvet's 3rd full album.

 

there's so much in store for us and for them, and i can't wait~

and we all know Christmas is coming -- I wonder if they'll be having their Christmas dinner together this year <3
